Spiny Lobster

Lobster Life Cycle

• Male and female mate
• Female lays the eggs on the underside of her tail (often refered to as "berries")
• Female carries the eggs with her until they are ready to hatch
• Female climbs to a high point of the reef when the eggs are hatching and fans the larvae into the current
• The larvae are planton for (I don't know how long)
• The larvae grow and eventually sink to the bottom
• Once on the bottom, they eat, molt, grow, repeat until they reach legal size
